Here’s your weekly recap—the most viewed news stories on our site for the week ending on August 23, 2025.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a Warning Letter to Supergoop! after the Agency reviewed the Play SPF 50 Body Mousse label and website. Based on product labeling, the FDA concluded Supergoop! Play SPF 50 Body Mousse is intended for use as an over-the-counter (OTC) sunscreen drug product.

After the Disney Princess-inspired collection, Bath & Body Works is introducing the Disney Villains Collection. With this brand-new collection, Bath & Body Works is celebrating The Evil Queen and Maleficent through spellbinding fragrances.

As summer comes to an end, Olive & June launched a new Fall Collection of Nails That Work. Seven new shades are available in a mix of long-lasting polish, gel polish, and press-ons. 

Anastasia Beverly Hills missed a paying interest payment on its $650 million term loan. This downgrades the company to a D from a CCC- credit rating and gives it a negative outlook from Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s Investors Service.

The Estée Lauder Companies reported its financial results for its fiscal year ended June 30, 2025. Organic net sales decreased by 8% to $14.3 billion from $15.6 billion last year. ELC remains focused on its Beauty Reimagined vision heading into fiscal year 2026.
